This program issues licenses for dogs, cats, pot-bellied pigs, and miniature goats. To obtain a pet licensing application, you can call, visit in person, or write. Renewals can be completed online, and there are several partner locations available that also sell licenses—details can be found on the website.

For reduced fees, a copy of the veterinarian's spay/neuter certificate is required. The fees for one-year licenses are as follows: Dogs, $105 ($37 if spayed/neutered); Cats, $79 ($26 if spayed/neutered); Pot-bellied pigs, $126; and Miniature goats, $21. Note that all fees may change. A late renewal fee of $30 applies if the renewal occurs more than 30 days after the expiration date. Additionally, low-income seniors or individuals with disabilities who possess a city of Seattle ID card can receive a 50 percent discount on fees.
