About this resource
This service provides shelter, meals, and computer access for up to 40 men. Registration is required at the Drop-In Center located on Dearborn Street. The facility increases its capacity during severe weather conditions.
Intake Process: Individuals must register at the day center at 624 South Dearborn Street during operating hours for shelter access. After hours, guests can go directly to the shelter. Admission is contingent on available space and is not guaranteed.
Costs: There are no fees associated with this service.
Who can use this
- Men aged 18 and above are eligible, with no pets allowed. The facility accepts individuals with a history of sex offenses, but prohibits drugs, alcohol, and weapons. Clients must be sober and may undergo Breathalyzer testing. The shelter is wheelchair accessible, but clients need to be self-sufficient and capable of transferring independently.
