About this resource
This service investigates allegations of discrimination or discriminatory harassment occurring in Seattle. It encompasses discrimination based on various factors including race, color, gender identity, religion, veteran status, age, sex, marital status, sexual orientation, or disability.
Intake Process: Individuals can file complaints by calling or visiting in person, and online submissions are also accepted.
Cost: There are no fees associated with filing a complaint.
Who can use this
- To be eligible, the discriminatory act must have occurred within Seattle city limits within the last 180 days for employment or public accommodation cases, and within the last 365 days for housing cases. Protected classes include race, color, ancestry, national origin, religion, creed, political ideology, age, gender identity, sex, sexual orientation, veteran status, marital and parental status, as well as individuals with disabilities or those using trained guide or service dogs. Services are provided without consideration of immigration status.
