About this resource
This initiative assists youth facing homelessness in achieving success in their education by coordinating transportation to their school of origin or aiding in their prompt enrollment at a nearby school.
Intake Procedure: The Seattle School District has designated a Families In Transition contact for homeless students at each of its K-8, elementary, middle, and high schools. To connect with the appropriate contact person at your school, reach out to the district's Homeless Student Liaison or contact the school directly.
Fees: There are no fees associated with this program.
Who can use this
- Eligible individuals include families or unaccompanied minors who do not have a stable, regular, and adequate nighttime residence, such as those temporarily sharing housing, living in motels or camps, using non-traditional sleeping places, residing in emergency shelters or transitional housing, or awaiting foster care placement.
