About this resource
This service organizes volunteer transportation for adults aged 60 and above who face challenges in accessing essential healthcare appointments. Requests for trips need to be made by the Tuesday before the appointment week, based on driver availability.
Intake Procedure: Call by Tuesday, one week ahead of the appointment, or sooner if possible. Be prepared with all trip details (date, time, duration, location, etc.). There is no need for a written application or an in-person visit.
Fees: There are no charges, although a suggested donation of $10 for a roundtrip ride is appreciated but not mandatory.
Who can use this
- Participants must be 60 years or older, reside in King County with limited transportation options, and be capable of entering a vehicle with minimal help; only folding wheelchairs can be transported, and caregivers or family members may accompany with prior notice.
