This service provides expedited U.S. passports for citizens. Adult passports are valid for a decade, while those for minors are valid for five years. A list of facilities for non-expedited passport services is also available.

To initiate the process, you need to call and schedule an appointment. You can check the status of your passport application online at https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/passports/need-passport/status.html. For non-expedited passport acceptance facilities, visit https://iafdb.travel.state.gov/. Routine processing typically takes 4-6 weeks, but you can opt for expedited service for an additional fee of $60, reducing processing time to 2-3 weeks. It's important to note that mailing times are not factored into these processing durations. These timelines apply to applications submitted both by mail and in-person at local acceptance facilities. Most of these facilities, including post offices, court clerks, and libraries, require appointments for passport applications, so it's advisable to contact them directly for their service hours. Additionally, many passport agencies and centers have limited appointments available for individuals with urgent international travel plans within the next 72 hours (3 business days) that are not related to life-or-death emergencies. Fees: Applicants must pay the $60 expedited fee alongside their application fees when applying at this agency. For a Passport Book: the appointment is free. INITIAL PASSPORT: $130 plus a $35 execution fee. RENEWAL (if the passport was issued within the last 15 years and the applicant was 16 or older at that time): $130. For MINORS (under 16): $100 plus a $35 execution fee. For a Passport Card: the appointment is free. INITIAL PASSPORT CARD: $30 plus a $35 execution fee. RENEWAL (if the passport book or card was issued within the last 15 years and the applicant was 16 or older at that time): $30. For MINORS (under 16): $15 plus a $35 execution fee.
