About this resource
This program offers loans of talking book players and Braille books, as well as digital cartridges, to individuals who are blind, visually impaired, physically disabled, learning disabled, or deaf-blind.
Intake Process: Interested individuals can call or access the website to start the process. Applicants need to fill out a form that must be endorsed by a qualified professional (such as a doctor, optometrist, nurse, librarian, teacher, or social worker) who can confirm their disability.
Costs: There are no fees associated with this service.
Who can use this
- Individuals who are unable to see printed materials clearly with regular eyeglasses, cannot physically hold a book or turn pages, or have a learning disability are eligible.
