King County Department Of Natural Resources And Parks' Solid Waste Division At Shoreline Transfer Station

Community Resource

Serves: Shoreline, King County

About this resource

This service provides waste disposal and recycling options for residents of King County, not including those in Seattle and Milton, and has specific material restrictions.

To begin, you can call or check the website to find out what services are available and which items are accepted at each location. All sites are reachable by vehicle.

Fees: The solid waste rates include a minimum charge of $33.00 per entry, which covers the first 320 pounds (this includes a basic fee, surcharge, and tax). For further details on additional solid waste disposal fees, please refer to the website. For recyclables, including appliances, yard waste, and wood, contact the service for fee information. Unsecured Loads: Vehicles arriving at transfer stations without secured loads will incur a $25 fee, which is strictly enforced. It is essential that loads are secured to prevent any part from becoming loose or detaching while the vehicle is in motion. Accepted payment methods include cash, checks (made out to "KCSWD"), and debit/credit cards like Visa® and MasterCard®.

Who can use this

  • Residents of King County, excluding those from Seattle and Milton, can use the service, with a vehicle and trailer length limit of 30 feet, or 40 feet at select stations.
