About this resource

This initiative provides nutritional support and educational resources for low-income pregnant and post-partum women, as well as infants and children under the age of five. Families typically receive benefits valued at approximately $150 per month. During the summer months, participants may also obtain extra vouchers for farmers markets.

To apply, individuals can either call or fill out an online form to check eligibility and schedule an appointment. Services can be provided at home, in the office, or at other locations. Applicants will undergo a nutrition assessment to evaluate their nutritional risk. Additionally, fathers, grandparents, and other guardians are permitted to enroll their children in the WIC program.

There are no fees associated with this program.

Who can use this

  • Residents of Washington state who are at or below 185% of the Federal Poverty Level and have a nutritional risk are eligible, including pregnant individuals, postpartum parents, and children under five; those receiving Basic Food benefits, WA Apple Health (Medicaid), or TANF may also qualify.
