About this resource
This program aids DSHS public assistance recipients in obtaining a Washington State ID card at a discounted rate from the Department of Licensing. DSHS case workers will complete a form that clients can present at DOL to receive the card for just $5.
Intake Procedure: Contact or visit any Community Service Office.
Fees: ID Card: $5.
Who can use this
- Individuals receiving public assistance from DSHS, which includes both financial and food assistance, are eligible. Those under 25 without a permanent address do not require the DSHS letter and can confirm their eligibility when obtaining the ID at the driver licensing office.
