Dshs' Ellensburg Community Services Office
Community Resource
About this resource
This program provides financial support to low-income families, immigrants, refugees, pregnant women, and individuals who are aged, blind, or disabled. The available programs include TANF/WorkFirst, AREN, Diversion Cash Assistance, Refugee Cash Assistance, and ABD.
To apply, individuals can call, visit the website, or go to any Community Service Office (CSO) to request an application. Once the DSHS receives the online or paper application, they will send a letter detailing the interview process. Those in need of emergency financial support should reach out to their case manager. Additionally, the phone line features a callback option (virtual hold) that allows callers to enter their number and receive a return call when it’s their turn. Callers may interact with multiple representatives; the first will be a navigator who assesses the call to determine the best assistance available.
There are no fees associated with this service.
