Volunteers extend vital assistance to patients and their families, mirroring the support a close friend would give, such as handling errands, allowing family caregivers some time off, sharing useful information, and simply being there to listen.
Intake Procedure: Hospice Friends will perform a short volunteer evaluation with the family.
Fees: There are no charges.
Who can use this
- Individuals with a life-threatening illness, those receiving hospice care, or frail elderly people—generally over 65 who require additional equipment or supplies for independent living.
