About this resource
This initiative offers both financial and non-cash support to low-income adults who are unable to work for a minimum of 90 days because of a physical or mental disability. The assistance may cover housing needs, such as rent or deposits, as well as essential items like toiletries, hygiene products, and bus passes.
Intake Procedure: Applications can be submitted in person at a local DSHS Community Services Office, online via washingtonconnection.org, or by contacting the DSHS Customer Service line. After assessing medical and financial eligibility, DSHS will refer applicants to the regional HEN provider.
Fees: There are no fees associated with this program.
Who can use this
- To qualify, individuals must be low-income adults unable to work for at least 90 days due to a physical or mental disability and not eligible for the Aged, Blind or Disabled cash assistance program, as determined by DSHS.
