Dshs' Goldendale Community Services Office
Community Resource
About this resource
This initiative delivers financial aid to low-income families, immigrants, refugees, pregnant women, and those who are aged, blind, or disabled. The available programs encompass TANF/WorkFirst, AREN, Diversion Cash Assistance, Refugee Cash Assistance, and ABD.
Intake Process: Individuals can call, visit the website, or go to any Community Service Office (CSO) to request an application. Once the application—either online or on paper—is submitted, DSHS will issue a letter detailing the interview process. Clients of DSHS in need of urgent financial help should consult with their case manager. Additionally, the phone service features a callback option (virtual hold), allowing callers to enter their number and receive a return call when it's their turn. Callers may interact with multiple representatives; the first point of contact will be a navigator who assesses the call to determine the most suitable assistance for the caller's needs.
Costs: There are no fees associated with these services.
