Dshs' White Salmon Community Services Office
Community Resource
About this resource
This program offers financial aid to low-income families, immigrants, refugees, pregnant women, and individuals who are elderly, blind, or disabled. The available programs include TANF/WorkFirst, AREN, Diversion Cash Assistance, Refugee Cash Assistance, and ABD.
To apply, individuals can call, visit the website, or go to any Community Service Office (CSO) to get an application. Once the DSHS receives the online or paper application, they will send a letter outlining the interview requirements. Clients in need of urgent financial help should consult their case manager. Additionally, the phone line includes a callback option (virtual hold) allowing callers to enter their number and receive a return call when it’s their turn. Callers may interact with multiple representatives; the first contact will be a navigator who assesses the call to see if they can assist or if another qualified person should take over.
There are no fees associated with this service.
