This program recruits and evaluates families who wish to adopt children under the care of the Department of Children, Youth, and Families.
Intake Process: Interested individuals should call, and the intake line can accept collect calls.
Costs: There are no fees involved.
Who can use this
- There are no restrictions for general adoption. For Special Needs Adoption, families must have a child under 18 who is legally free, has special needs, is currently in state-funded foster care, or qualifies for federal adoption assistance.
