About this resource
This initiative aids those receiving DSHS public assistance in securing a Washington State ID card at a discounted rate from the Department of Licensing. Case workers at DSHS will complete a form that clients can present at DOL to obtain the ID for just $5.

Who can use this
- Individuals receiving public assistance from DSHS, including both financial and food assistance, qualify. Those under 25 without a permanent address do not require the DSHS letter and can confirm their eligibility when obtaining the ID at the licensing office.
