Who can use this
- According to the McKinney-Vento Homeless Act, families or students are considered homeless and entitled to special rights if they are: * in a shelter, motel, vehicle, or campground * on the street, in a 24-hour restaurant, or at a bus station * displaced due to a natural or manmade disaster (flood, earthquake, fire) * living in a motel, abandoned building, trailer, or other inadequate housing * staying with friends or relatives because they cannot find affordable housing * "couch surfing" * teenagers living independently.
