Who can use this
- According to the McKinney-Vento Homeless Act, families or students are considered homeless and entitled to special rights if they are: * residing in a shelter, motel, vehicle, or campground * living on the street, in a 24-hour restaurant, or at a bus station * displaced by natural or manmade disasters (such as floods, earthquakes, or fires) * staying in a motel, abandoned building, trailer, or other inadequate living conditions * living with friends or relatives due to a lack of affordable housing * 'couch surfing' * teenagers living independently.
