Who can use this
- According to the McKinney-Vento Homeless Act, families or students are considered homeless and qualify for specific rights if they are: * residing in a shelter, motel, vehicle, or campground * living on the streets, in a 24-hour restaurant, or at a bus station * displaced by a natural or manmade disaster (such as floods, earthquakes, or fires) * staying in a motel, abandoned building, trailer, or other inadequate housing * living with friends or relatives due to a lack of affordable housing * 'couch surfing' * a teenager living independently.
