Who can use this

  • According to the McKinney-Vento Homeless Act, families or students are considered homeless and eligible for specific rights if they are: - residing in a shelter, motel, vehicle, or campground - living on the street, in a 24-hour restaurant, or at a bus station - displaced by natural or human-made disasters (such as floods, earthquakes, or fires) - staying in a motel, abandoned structure, trailer, or other inadequate housing - living with friends or family due to lack of affordable housing - 'couch surfing' - a teenager living independently.
