Dshs' Okanogan Community Services Office
Community Resource
About this resource
This program provides financial support to low-income families, immigrants and refugees, pregnant women, and individuals who are elderly, blind, or disabled. Available programs include TANF/WorkFirst, AREN, Diversion Cash Assistance, Refugee Cash Assistance, and ABD.
To apply, individuals can call, visit the website, or go to any Community Service Office (CSO) to get an application. Once DSHS receives the online or paper application, they will send a letter outlining the interview process. Those needing urgent financial aid should consult their case manager. Additionally, the phone line offers a callback feature (virtual hold), allowing callers to enter their number and receive a return call when it's their turn. Callers may interact with multiple representatives; the first contact will assess the situation to determine the best assistance available.
There are no fees associated with these services.
