Who can use this
- According to the McKinney-Vento Homeless Act, families or students are considered homeless and qualify for special rights if they are: * in a shelter, motel, vehicle, or campground * on the street, in a 24-hour restaurant, or at a bus station * displaced by a natural or manmade disaster (such as floods, earthquakes, or fires) * living in inadequate accommodations like a motel, abandoned building, or trailer * residing with friends or relatives due to a lack of affordable housing * 'couch surfing' * a teenager living independently.
