About this resource
This service provides on-demand transportation along Ruston Way and the Tideflats, featuring vans that can accommodate wheelchairs and bicycles. Vehicles are available for pick-up and drop-off at any location accessible by car, including parking lots and designated pull-outs along Ruston Way and the Tideflats. Users can access the service at Tacoma Dome and Commerce Transit Centers.
To schedule a trip, users can book through the RUNNER App. For those without a smartphone, trips can be arranged by calling 253.581.8000 and selecting option 4. Additionally, individuals wishing to use the Tideflats Runner can walk up and request a ride, indicated by a sign on the dashboard showing availability.
Fare Structure: The cost is $2 for adults, $1 for holders of the Regional Reduced Fare Permit, and free for individuals aged 18 and under with a Youth ORCA card. Cash payments are not accepted; riders can use an All Day Pass, a valid ORCA Card, or the Transit Ticketing app for payment.
