About this resource
This program offers federally funded vouchers aimed at fulfilling planned respite needs for unpaid family caregivers who are currently unserved. It allows caregivers in Washington State to take short breaks with a registered respite provider agency.
Intake Procedure: Interested individuals can either call or complete an online form.
Fees: There are no associated fees.
Who can use this
- To qualify, applicants must be unpaid caregivers providing at least 40 hours of care per week to someone with a special need or condition, reside in Washington State, and not be enrolled in any Medicaid or similar programs offering respite services unless they are on a waitlist and not scheduled for services within 30 days of applying; they should also be unable to afford private respite care.
