About this resource
This program provides financial aid for heating bills to low-income individuals and families, assisting with expenses related to gas, electricity, fuel, and firewood. Eligibility requires residency outside the Tacoma city limits while still being in Pierce County.
To apply, individuals should call the appointment line to book a time, as slots often fill quickly after opening. Online applications are also accepted. The process involves completing the application over the phone, eliminating the need for in-person visits, and the completed application will be sent to clients for their review, signature, and submission of necessary documentation.
There are no fees associated with this service.
Who can use this
- Applicants must reside outside of Tacoma city limits but within Pierce County, and families should have an income at or below 80% of the Area Median Income to qualify for assistance.
