About this resource
This program provides lower utility rates for eligible Tacoma Public Utility customers who are either seniors aged 62 or older or individuals receiving state or federal disability income, along with meeting all necessary criteria.
Application Process: Applications can be submitted online. Those without internet access or needing extra help can make a phone call for assistance.
Fees: There are no fees associated with this program.
Who can use this
- To qualify, applicants must be either a single occupant, the head of a household, or the spouse of the head of the household, be 62 years or older or a disabled adult receiving qualifying disability income (such as SSI, SSA, SSDI, ABD, L&I, or VA), reside full-time in the dwelling unit, have a single-metered residential account, and have a household income not exceeding 45% of the Area Median Income.
