About this resource
This initiative gives islanders who struggle with high real estate prices a chance to own a home. By retaining ownership of the land, it ensures that homes remain affordable. Additionally, it offers housing counseling to all applicants and current homeowners.

Who can use this
- Applicants must have lived in San Juan County for at least one year before applying, or be employed by a local employer; they must also meet income and asset eligibility criteria and qualify for an approved mortgage.
