This program recruits and evaluates families who wish to adopt children under the care of the Department of Children, Youth, and Families.
Intake Process: Interested individuals should call, and the intake line is available for collect calls.
Costs: There are no fees associated with this process.
Who can use this
- There are no general adoption restrictions. For Special Needs Adoption, families must have a child under 18 who is legally free, has special needs, and is currently in state-funded foster care or eligible for federal adoption assistance.
