About this resource
This initiative provides weighted blankets and lap pads for those diagnosed with autism, sensory processing disorder, anxiety, Tourette's syndrome, or ADHD. These weighted items can help improve sleep quality by alleviating anxiety and agitation, while also enhancing focus and concentration.
Intake Process: Interested individuals should complete a weighted blanket application online. The finished blanket or lap pad must be collected in person at the office.
Costs: Ranging from $10 to $40 based on size. Those who have previously received a blanket or lap pad can exchange it for a heavier version at no additional cost upon returning the old item.
Who can use this
- Eligible participants include those with autism, sensory processing disorder, anxiety, Tourette's syndrome, and ADHD residing in Spokane, Stevens, Lincoln, Whitman, and Pend Oreille counties.
