About this resource
This program provides support to single adults who are temporarily or permanently disabled and cannot work by supplying hygiene products and bus passes. Depending on funding availability, it may also assist with rent, utilities, and moving expenses. A referral from DSHS is necessary.
Intake Procedure: Applications can be made in person at a local DSHS Community Services Office, online at washingtonconnection.org, or by contacting the DSHS Customer Service line. After assessing medical and financial eligibility, DSHS will refer individuals to the regional HEN provider.
Fees: There are no fees associated with this program.
Who can use this
- Eligible participants are low-income adults who cannot work for at least 90 days due to a physical or mental condition and are not qualified for the Aged, Blind or Disabled cash assistance program, with a requirement to be homeless or at risk of homelessness, as determined by DSHS.
