About this resource
This program provides essential monthly supplies (such as toilet paper, shampoo, hygiene products, etc.), rental support, and move-in expenses for low-income adults who are unable to work for a minimum of 90 days due to physical or mental disabilities. A referral from DSHS is necessary.
Intake Process: Applications can be submitted in person at a local DSHS Community Services Office, through the website washingtonconnection.org, or by contacting the DSHS Customer Service line. After assessing medical and financial eligibility, DSHS will issue a referral to the appropriate regional HEN provider.
Cost: No fees involved.
Who can use this
- To qualify, applicants must be low-income adults who cannot work for at least 90 days due to a physical or mental condition and are not eligible for the Aged, Blind, or Disabled cash assistance program, with eligibility verified by DSHS.
