Family Support Center Of South Sound
Community Resource
About this resource
This service provides a safe and warm 24-hour shelter for families with children. To get screened and referred to the shelter, families should visit the Family Support Center. If it's after office hours, they can call the shelter hotline. Additionally, there is a cold weather overflow shelter available; simply ring the doorbell for entry.
Intake Process: Families are admitted to the shelter via the Coordinated Entry system. To utilize Coordinated Entry, visit https://fscss.org/coordinated-entry/. Seasonal Drop-In Spaces are offered from November 1st to April 30th and operate on a first-come, first-served basis.
Cost: There are no fees for this service.
Who can use this
- Families experiencing homelessness with children must have a child or a pregnant individual present at check-in; no identification or proof of pregnancy is required, but adult names will be checked against a national database for safety.
