This initiative connects low-income individuals with essential resources and support to cultivate fresh produce. It collaborates with volunteers and novice gardeners to create both backyard and community gardens while also providing online gardening courses.
Intake Procedure: Interested individuals can call, email, or visit the website for the latest guidelines.
Fees: There is no charge for applicants whose income is at or below 200% of the federal poverty level.
Who can use this
- The program primarily serves individuals with low incomes at or below 200% of the poverty level, with backyard garden applications generally accepted in January and gardens constructed in the spring.
