This initiative connects individuals with housing options to those in need within Thurston County. Applicants undergo a pre-screening process to ensure compatibility in lifestyle before being matched. Some providers may lower or waive rent in return for services rendered, and it is important to note that this is not a source of emergency housing.
Intake Procedure: Applications can be obtained through the website or directly at the Olympia and Lacey senior centers. All applicants must agree to a criminal background check, and any criminal history will be shared with potential matches. Certain offenses may lead to disqualification from the program.
Fees: Both Providers and Seekers are required to pay a $35 Application Fee, along with a one-time $50 Match Fee for Providers.
Who can use this
- Individuals aged 18 and older can apply, but at least one party in each match must be a senior.
