About this resource
This program supplies USDA commodity foods to seniors aged 60 and older who are low-income. Typical food packages may consist of canned vegetables, fruits, juice, protein sources, grains, cereals, peanut butter, and cheese.
To apply, interested individuals should go through the Thurston County Food Bank. They need to complete and sign a form, which can be submitted in person or by mail. Applicants must present documents that verify their age and address during the interview; gross household income is self-reported. For more information, contact Berenice at the Olympia Food Pantry.
There are no fees associated with this service.
Who can use this
- To qualify, individuals must be residents of Thurston, Mason, or Lewis County, aged 60 or older, and meet the income criteria specified on the WSDA's website, with income being self-declared.
