About this resource
The program collaborates with local community agencies and federally recognized tribes across the state to offer independent living skills training for youth aged 15 and older who are in established dependency through DCYF.
Intake Process: For inquiries, please call. The caseworker is required to fill out the referral form in Famine and send it to the contracted provider or the regional IL lead.
Cost: There are no fees associated with this program.
Who can use this
- To qualify for the IL program, youth must be aged 15-17 in an established dependency through DCYF or a tribal child welfare agency and have been in an out-of-home foster care placement for a minimum of 30 days between their 15th and 18th birthdays, maintaining eligibility until they turn 18.
