About this resource
This service provides transportation assistance such as gas vouchers, mileage reimbursement, transit tickets/passes, volunteer drivers, and wheelchair-accessible options specifically for Medicaid-covered services.
Intake Procedure: Individuals must be assessed by People For People NEMT to determine their transportation needs and mobility options. Scheduling is required in advance; local trips need a two-day notice, while long-distance trips require five days' notice. For gas vouchers or fuel reimbursement, drivers must submit a valid driver's license, signed vehicle registration, and proof of vehicle insurance.
Fees: Services are exclusively available for those with WA Apple Health (Medicaid).
Who can use this
- 1. Must possess a valid Apple Health (Medicaid) ID Card/ProviderOne Card. 2. Must reside in specific counties including Benton, Chelan, Columbia, Douglas, Franklin, Kittitas, Okanogan, Walla Walla, and Yakima.
