The Regional Developmental Disabilities Program provides tailored services to assist individuals with developmental disabilities and their families. These services encompass evaluation, diagnosis, referrals, information dissemination, guardianships, commitments, service coordination, respite care, and family support. Additionally, it offers therapy for children from birth to 3 years, including developmental, speech, psychological, physical, and occupational therapies, while also sharing information about private developmental disability service providers. The Idaho Infant Toddler Program focuses on early intervention services to aid families in helping their infants and toddlers (up to 36 months) achieve their fullest potential. This program is structured around multidisciplinary teams of therapists who specialize in aiding children in communication, mobility, cognitive skills, nutrition, and active participation in family routines. The Family and Community Services Adult DD program caters to adults with developmental disabilities, providing services such as court-ordered guardianship, commitment and competency assessments, placement coordination with the Idaho State School and Hospital, non-Medicaid crisis intervention, service coordination, and community resource development. The Division of Family and Community Services administers the Regional Developmental Disabilities Program, which offers services in English, with interpreter services available upon request.
