The services provided by the Regional Developmental Disabilities Program are aimed at addressing the needs of individuals with developmental disabilities and their families. These services encompass evaluation, diagnosis, referrals, information dissemination, guardianships, commitments, service coordination, respite care, and family support, as well as sharing information about private developmental disability service providers. The Idaho Infant Toddler Program offers early intervention for children from birth to age three who exhibit developmental delays, providing various therapeutic, educational, and supportive services at no cost to families. This program also facilitates the transition to school district services when the child turns three. Additionally, the Family and Community Services Adult DD program offers services for individuals with developmental disabilities, including court-ordered guardianship, commitment and competency evaluations, placement coordination to the Idaho State School and Hospital, non-Medicaid crisis intervention, service coordination, and community resource development. The Division of Family and Community Services administers the Regional Developmental Disabilities Program, and services are available in English, with interpreters upon request.
