About this resource
Benewah Area Transit (BAT) delivers curb-to-curb, demand response transportation in the St. Maries area. This service caters to the general public for activities such as shopping, medical appointments, social gatherings, and recreational pursuits within a 7-mile radius of St. Maries city limits. Additionally, BAT offers Medicaid-approved transportation to St. Maries, Coeur d’Alene, Post Falls, and Hayden, ID, from surrounding locations like Fernwood, Santa, Emida, and Plummer, Idaho. Requests for transportation to other areas may be evaluated. The service operates from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday to Friday (excluding holidays). Medicaid transportation appointments must be arranged at least 48 hours in advance by contacting Medicaid’s Brokerage Company (VEYO) at 1-877-503-1261. Services are available in English.
