The Regional Developmental Disabilities Program, featuring specialists like Wynette Howard and Mike Breuer, aims to address the needs of individuals with developmental disabilities and their families. The program provides a variety of services, such as evaluation, diagnosis, referrals, information, guardianships, service coordination, respite care, and family support. It also includes therapeutic services like developmental, speech, psychological, physical, and occupational therapy, while sharing information about private developmental disability service providers. The Idaho Infant Toddler Program specifically offers early intervention services for infants and toddlers (birth to 36 months) to help them achieve their full potential. These services cater to both the developmental needs of the child and the family's requirements to foster the child's growth. The program is supported by multidisciplinary teams of therapists who specialize in aiding children to develop skills in communication, mobility, cognition, nutrition, and participation in family activities. Additionally, the Family and Community Services Adult DD program delivers services for adults with developmental disabilities, including court-ordered guardianship, competency evaluations, placement coordination with the Idaho State School and Hospital, crisis intervention, service coordination, and community resource development. The Division of Family and Community Services oversees the Regional Developmental Disabilities Program, which offers services in English and provides access to interpreters.
