About this resource
The Regional Children and Family Services Program handles and evaluates reports concerning child abuse, neglect, or abandonment. When required, it offers suitable services to address family needs. This program assesses and determines the validity of reported child abuse incidents, which may involve evaluating family members and/or the affected child. It facilitates access to counseling for the victim, parents, the abuser, and others involved. Child protective services are provided at no cost. Additionally, the program is responsible for licensing foster homes and offering some adoption services. The program is overseen by the Division of Family and Community Services and is available in English and Spanish.
