The Cooperative Extension System at the University of Idaho plays a vital role in supporting Idaho's agricultural and rural communities by offering a range of services, programs, and research crucial for the state's growth. Among the various programs available are: 4-H, Weed Control Programs, EFNEP (Expanded Food & Nutrition Education Program), Garden/Landscape Management Programs, Youth at Risk Programs, Crops/Horticulture Programs, initiatives focused on launching or managing a small business, Money Management/Household Budgeting, Life Skills, and Pesticide Applicator Training. Most of the UI Extension Agriculture and Horticulture services are provided free of charge, with the exception of soil testing, which incurs shipping and lab fees. Services are offered in English. Intake procedures can be initiated by contacting the office.
