Immunizations are administered by local health departments, offering routine childhood vaccinations at health department clinics or special off-site events, often at low or no cost for families in need. Overseas immunizations are available by appointment, and travelers should contact their local health department for specific vaccine requirements. Adult vaccines such as Td boosters, hepatitis B, hepatitis A, pneumonia, and influenza may also be offered. The Immunization Registry is a free, voluntary, and confidential service that helps track immunizations for individuals and their families, ensuring timely vaccinations. The WIC (Women, Infants, and Children) Program provides healthy foods, health screenings, nutrition classes, and referrals to healthcare providers for eligible pregnant women, breastfeeding women, infants, and children under five. The Women’s Health Check program offers free breast and cervical cancer screenings for women who meet specific criteria, including those without insurance covering these tests, and those who qualify based on age and income.
