About this resource
The Regional Children and Family Services Program handles and assesses reports concerning child abuse, neglect, or abandonment. When needed, it offers suitable services to meet family requirements. This program evaluates reported cases of child abuse, which may involve assessing family members and/or the affected child. It also facilitates counseling for victims, parents, abusers, and others involved. There is no charge for child protective services. Additionally, the program is responsible for licensing child care facilities, foster homes, and offering some adoption services. The Division of Family and Community Services oversees the Regional Children and Family Services Program. Available languages include English, with interpreters accessible.
