The Regional Developmental Disabilities Program provides essential services tailored to individuals with developmental disabilities and their families. These services encompass evaluation, diagnosis, referral, information dissemination, guardianships, commitments, service coordination, respite care, and family support. Additionally, the program offers various therapies, including developmental, speech, psychological, physical, and occupational therapy, while also sharing information about private service providers. The Idaho Infant Toddler Program focuses on early intervention for infants and toddlers (birth to 36 months), assisting families in fostering their children's development. This program is structured around multidisciplinary teams of therapists who specialize in aiding children in communication, mobility, cognitive skills, nutrition, and engagement in family activities. Furthermore, the Family and Community Services Adult DD program caters to adults with developmental disabilities, offering services such as court-ordered guardianship, commitment and competency evaluations, placement coordination with the Idaho State School and Hospital, non-Medicaid crisis intervention, service coordination, and community resource development. The Division of Family and Community Services oversees the Regional Developmental Disabilities Program, which provides services in English and has interpreter services available. Intake is initiated via a phone call, followed by an evaluation and ACCESS process.
