The Regional Developmental Disabilities Program provides a range of services tailored to assist individuals with developmental disabilities and their families. These services encompass evaluation, diagnosis, referral, information dissemination, guardianship and commitment processes, service coordination, respite care, and family support. Additionally, the program offers various therapies, including developmental, speech, psychological, physical, and occupational therapy, while also sharing information about private service providers. The Idaho Infant Toddler Program focuses on early intervention for infants and toddlers (birth to 36 months), aiding families in fostering their children's developmental potential. This program is structured around multidisciplinary teams of therapists skilled in enhancing children's abilities to communicate, move, think, eat, and engage in family activities. The Family and Community Services Adult DD program extends support to adults with developmental disabilities, including court-ordered guardianship, commitment and competency evaluations, placement coordination for the Idaho State School and Hospital, non-Medicaid crisis intervention, service coordination, and community resource development. The Division of Family and Community Services administers the Regional Developmental Disabilities Program, which offers services in English and provides access to interpreters when needed.
