The Regional Developmental Disabilities Program provides comprehensive services tailored to the needs of individuals with developmental disabilities and their families. These services encompass evaluation, diagnosis, referral, information dissemination, guardianships, commitments, service coordination, respite care, and family support. Additionally, the program offers various therapies, including developmental, speech, psychological, physical, and occupational therapy, and shares information about private providers of developmental disability services. The Idaho Infant Toddler Program focuses on early intervention for families with infants and toddlers (ages birth to 36 months) to help them achieve their fullest potential. This program is structured around multidisciplinary teams of therapists skilled in assisting children with communication, mobility, cognitive skills, nutrition, and engagement in family activities. The Family and Community Services Adult DD program caters to adults with developmental disabilities, offering services such as court-ordered guardianship, commitment and competency evaluations, placement coordination with the Idaho State School and Hospital, non-Medicaid crisis intervention, service coordination, and community resource development. The Division of Family and Community Services oversees the Regional Developmental Disabilities Program, and services are available in English with interpreters accessible upon request. Intake is initiated by calling for an evaluation and ACCESS process.
