KACF is dedicated to enhancing community collaboration and prevention initiatives, fostering community involvement, and organizing events with partners to share vital information with youth, their families, and the broader community. Over the past fourteen years, KACF has led and managed numerous prevention activities and services, many of which continue today. The mission of Kootenai Alliance For Children & Families is to foster healthy families by promoting community collaboration to mitigate substance abuse among youth and eliminate service duplication. The organization's goals are to decrease substance abuse among Kootenai County youth through evidence-based programs targeting the area's top risk factors, provide education and resources for parents and community partners, and assess program activities that address key risk and protective factors.
